A Brief History

In the spring of 1965 a small company by the name of Kue n' Karom was created by Raymond and Shirley Abrams. The company, which was later to be renamed Cushion n' Cue, was a small billiards lounge first established in Allen Park, MI. The Abrams family took full ownership in 1974, and by 1996 Cushion n' Cue became the Snookers' Pool and Pub that we all know and love today. After having experienced years of a thriving business, the Abrams's opened 4 more Snooker's locations throughout southeast Michigan.

With great success in the expansion of their billiard rooms endeavors, the Abrams family ventured into the realm of restaurant ownership. With Raymond's son Michael Abrams as the new President, the Abrams family quickly purchased a comfortably styled neighborhood restaurant by the name of McVee's, in 1999.

Soon after the purchase of McVee's, others were quick to follow. In 2004, Mr. Joe's was welcomed to the bunch. And most recently, in June of 2008, Mike added Lu & Carl's and Stout Irish Pub, both of Brighton.

It is easy to see how the Abrams family's never ending pursuit of entertainment perfection, led them to bring quality food and fun to people throughout Michigan. All of the Abrams' establishments embrace their own unique identity and character, promising to extinguish the ordinary.

Beginning with Snookers' Pool & Pub, and eventually expanding to McVee's, Mr. Joe's, Lu & Carl's and Stout Irish Pub, this is truly a family that offers GREAT PLACES 4 GOOD TIMES.
